An exchange keeps its own books. When it tells you a trade happened, the evidence is a database it controls and can change — every claim it makes about its own history is circular.
So an independent auditor writes a fingerprint of the trade log to a public blockchain. Afterwards we cannot alter, reorder or delete a past trade without that fingerprint diverging from one already published, somewhere we cannot reach. This page checks your trade against that record. It reads the chain directly — the answer does not come from us.
The JSON published with the batch — it contains batchIndex, leaf and path.
A trade can only be anchored if it happened, so the section above assumes a venue that actually matches orders. That is a claim too, and one worth checking separately. The venue publishes a machine-readable statement of what it is; your browser fetches it below, unedited, including the parts that do not flatter us.
You should not have to trust this page either — it is served by the same company whose records you are checking. The contract source and a standalone verifier are public, and the check is a single read against the chain.
It proves what the trade record said at the moment it was audited, and that it has not been changed since. It does not move value, does not prove we hold your funds, and does not make this venue non-custodial. That is a narrower claim than “your money is safe”, and making the narrower one is deliberate.
